I had the opportunity to cut this cinematic documentary about the writing and orchestration behind TCM’s new Station ID. The new ID takes us on a trip through the history of cinematic scoring through the exceptionally talented composer Brandon Bush. It was amazing to intercut the interview footage with the actual scoring process and create a weaving, musical narrative. Troy Bieser and Jordan Pilgrim (who shot this) gave me some really beautiful motion to cut on — adding to the intimacy and ultimate catharsis of the final ID’s unveiling. One of my favorites of 2104.
